Everything happens for a reason.

This week I came down with bronchitis and I felt like a steamy pile of dog poo.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet today I just wanted to give Holly Smith from Holly’s Touch Photography more recognition because she deserves it.

She asked me what felt like at random, (which is where the everything happens for a reason comes into play) late Monday night if she could take some photos of me the next day.

I was hesitant to go, but I said yes. Hesitant because I was sick and just wanted to rest, I had my kids at the time she wanted to do it, and my social anxiety is usually at a 10. I said yes, my mom said she’d watch my kids when she got out of work, and I mustered up the courage to just do it.

I’ve been doing a lot of self improvement since the end of April and I swear you guys it just keeps getting better. I’ve always had confidence/self esteem issues. Wanting to stay true to myself but feeling like I wasn’t good enough. Looking at other women’s pictures and thinking I wished I looked like them.

Holly is such an amazing photographer to work with, she made me feel very comfortable. Reassuring me when I was being self conscious, we laughed together and I loved that it just felt like fun. She did amazing work on editing the photos to look grungy and that’s why I loved them so much more. She made me feel like one of the women I used to look at and think I wanted to be them! She gave me the confidence I’ve been longing for and made me finally see what others have tried so hard to before.

Another point I’d like to quickly make is that I don’t do a lot of things for me. Even if you’re nervous, have social anxiety, feel like you just can’t do something, my advice is to just DO IT. Seriously. If I hadn’t done this look what I would have missed out on. You can do whatever you put your mind to. You are worth it. Do something for YOU.

Here’s a few of the shots:

Now go view the rest on her Facebook page here at Holly’s Touch Photography

Make sure to give her page a like too! She deserves it.

Thank you, Holly. I’m forever grateful.
